This policy explains what personal data is collected when you use this site and our services, why, for how long, and what you can do about it. It covers this catalogue site only.

Data you give us: when you send a request for quotation (RFQ) or a contact form, we collect your name, email, phone, company name, the content of your message and the products you asked about.

Customer accounts: an account on this site is opened for the company's customers. An account holds the email, contact name, company name and number, the password as a one-way hash (scrypt — we do not hold the password itself and cannot recover it), together with that customer's agreed prices and the history of their requests and orders.

Stored in your own browser: the items in a quote request are kept locally (localStorage) so the request cart works; a visit identifier is kept in sessionStorage and is discarded when the tab closes. This data sits on your machine.

Usage measurement: if — and only if — you have given consent, we record which pages were viewed, what was searched for, which products were looked at, and when a product configuration was abandoned part-way. This measurement sets a cookie named gptech_visitor with a life of 12 months, whose only job is to relate one browser's visits to each other. We do not collect a name, email or phone this way, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not pass it to advertising networks.

Consent, and withdrawing it: you are asked before any of that measurement happens, and silence is not permission — until you agree, it does not run. Your choice is kept in a cookie named gptech_consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawal does not only stop what comes next: it also deletes the visitor identifier already collected. Cookies strictly necessary for the site to work and to be secure, and the consent cookie itself, do not require consent.

What we use data for: answering enquiries, preparing and sending quotations, fulfilling orders, customer service, running your account, securing the site, and improving the site from the usage measurement. If you choose to receive them we will also send marketing updates, and every message carries a way to unsubscribe.

Legal basis: consent (usage measurement and marketing), performance of a contract or steps towards one (answering an RFQ, running an account, orders), and legitimate interest (securing and administering the site).

Who data is shared with: operational providers only — Amazon Web Services for storage, infrastructure and sending mail. Information about requests and orders also passes to the company's internal ERP system, in order to handle that request. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Embedded content: the home page shows a company video from YouTube in its enhanced-privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so Google receives no advertising cookies from passive viewing. A network request carrying your IP address is still made to it. For anyone whose operating system asks for reduced motion, the video is not loaded at all.

How long data is kept: usage-measurement records are deleted automatically after 90 days, and that deletion is enforced by the system rather than by a person. Account details are kept while the account is active. Enquiries, quote requests and orders are kept as a business record for as long as the engagement and the law require, and are not deleted automatically; you may ask for deletion, and we will delete everything we are not obliged to keep.

Security: passwords are stored as a salted scrypt hash, compared in constant time, and traffic to the site is encrypted. We apply further technical and organisational measures to protect data. Even so, no transmission or storage of information can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Your rights: you have the right to see your data, to correct it, to ask for its deletion, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw a consent you gave. To exercise any of these, write to ofir@gptech.co.il or use the "Contact" page. We will reply within the time the law allows.

Changes: we will update this policy from time to time. A material change is marked by the update date above, and continuing to use the site after it means you accept the updated policy.
