Product details
The APRV series by Generant is an absolute pressure relief valve using a spring reference mechanism to ensure consistent set pressure, independent of ambient pressure variations (e.g. altitude). Originally developed for use with liquid helium dewars, the valve is qualified for extreme cryogenic service and offers reliable sealing and high flow capacity.
Key Features
- Direct-acting absolute pressure relief design
- Factory preset – tamper-resistant calibration
- Immune to ambient pressure changes – altitude stable
- 100% factory tested for leakage, crack, and reseat
- Excellent reseat and high flow performance
- Qualified for extreme cryogenic environments
- Vent-to-atmosphere or inline piping configurations
- Nickel-plated brass construction with SS spring and seal

Flow Capacity
Example flows (110% of set pressure, N₂)
- For helium flow
- multiply SCFM by 2.64
- 16.0 PSIA → 1.52 SCFM
- 18.0 PSIA → 1.90 SCFM
Typical Applications
- Liquid helium dewars
- Cryogenic gas systems requiring absolute pressure control
- Systems operating across varying altitudes
